Tascam® Update DR-100 with 96k Recording

 

Montebello, CA (April 1, 2009): TASCAM is announcing an update for their DR-100 Portable Recorder that supports high-resolution 96kHz/24-bit recording. The free software update, version 1.10, is being quality tested and will be available for download from the TASCAM website at the end of April. The DR-100 now supports sampling rates from 44.1k to 96kHz, 24-bit or 16-bit WAV recording and MP3 recording.

The TASCAM DR-100 targets recordists who need a reliable handheld recorder with advanced recording features. Building on the best-selling DR-1 recorder, the DR-100 has a pair of XLR mic ins with phantom power for adding pro condenser microphones. In addition, the DR-100 has four built-in electret condenser mics - two cardioid and two omni - and a built-in speaker for playback. It's powered either through an included Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery or easy-to-find AA batteries. analog line inputs and outputs are also available, as well as a mic stand mounting hole for recording flexibility.

Tascam® Announces M-164 Mixer line

 

 

Montebello, CA (April 1, 2009): TASCAM's M-164 series is a new line of analog mixers, combining great analog specs with cutting-edge digital technology. The M-164is a 16-channel mixer with 6 mic inputs, great-sounding EQ and a striking design with built-in meter bridge. The M-164FX adds digital effects like reverb, delay and chorus for polished mixes without adding external processing. The M-164UF is the first compact mixer with a built-in USB 2.0 to deliver all 16 outputs to a computer for live or studio recording.

LA-80MKII is successor to LA-80 which has been the unbalanced to balanced line converter from TASCAM®.
The LA-80MKII has 8 internal circuits to convert unbalanced inputs to balanced outputs. In addition, the Audio Distributed Amplifier (ADA) function allows single inputs to be assign to multiple outputs using the Input link switches between each channel.
Moreover, LA-80MKII has semi-fix Trim control for fine level adjustment of +/- 12dB. Each channel has an Output level switch that allows output levels to be switched between -20dBu and +4dBu.

The Tascam® 2488mkII is the follow-up to the best-selling, simple-to-use 24-track recording and mixing workstation for home studios. Like its predecessor, eight inputs can be simultaneously recorded into the XLR and 1/4" inputs - enough for a whole band. 19 physical faders control mono and stereo channels without scrolling through pages for quick and easy mixing. Each channel has 3-band EQ with a parametric mid-band and access to three built-in effects processors, including reverb and multieffects.

After the final mix is recorded to the dedicated stereo mater recorder, the built-in CD-RW drive can burn a CD master in addition to backing up the hard drive and importing and exporting WAV files. The TASCAM® SS-CDR1 combines Compact Flash and Compact Disc recording into a single rackspace. Designed for applications that previously used a cassette or MiniDisc recorder, the SS-CDR1 records in WAVE or MP3 formats to Compact Flash media. A slot-loading CD transport is provided CD recording, MP3 conversion and audio transfer. The recorder includes balanced and unbalanced audio inputs and outputs, RS-232 and parallel control and a wired remote control.
